Welcome to the University of New Haven’s Master’s in Investigations, the first degree of its in kind in the nation! The degree is 100% online, consists of 10 courses, and can be completed in as little as one year. We offer several areas to focus your studies: financial crimes, cyber and cyber enabled crimes, digital forensics, major crimes, trafficking and smuggling (human and wildlife), crypto assets and many other areas. Students have the opportunity to “build their own” degree based on experience, career goals, or other factors such as working in the private sector. All of our instructors are leading experts, with extensive experience, in their field of investigations.

This means you can complete the program from anywhere in the world!

Flexibility: Based on experience, previous education and/or career goals, students can substitute other courses from the program for required core courses, basically, a ‘build your own degree’ concept.

Transfer Credits: Up to 6 credit hours can be transferred in to meet the degree requirements.

Finish in as Little as One Year

Our master’s degree in investigations is a 30-credit hour, 10-course degree that can be completed in around ten months. This accelerated curriculum allows you to earn your master’s degree at a pace consistent with your career goals while balancing it with your life demands.

Investigations is a broad topic area. To get the most from your master’s degree, we recommend you choose one of the two concentrations offered by the University of New Haven:

Criminal Investigations
For those in law enforcement, this concentration will prepare you to help solve crimes and to be a greater asset to your law enforcement team.

Financial Crimes
The Financial Crimes Investigation concentration examines a broad spectrum of financial crimes. This concentration prepares you to tackle cybercrime, financial fraud, international crime, healthcare fraud, and organized crime to name a few. This concentration can be further customized to focus on the private sector or public sector investigation, depending on your career interest.
